Oxfam is a confederation of 20 affiliates operating globally in 79 countries, working to see a world without poverty. We are a worldwide development organization that mobilizes the power of people against poverty. Around the globe, we work to find practical, innovative ways for people to lift themselves out of poverty and thrive. We save lives and help rebuild livelihoods when crisis strikes. And we campaign so that the voices of the poor influence the local and global decisions that affect them.
In Nigeria, Oxfam works to influence policy change in favour of the poor and most vulnerable, promoting food security and supporting small-scale farms to improve the livelihoods of men and women in rural areas.
Oxfam in Nigeria focuses on:
- Meeting vulnerable people's needs: saving lives.
- Sustaining increased incomes for the poorest.
- Transforming attitudes about women’s roles and rights.
- Increasing active citizenship and the accountability and transparency of public and private sectors.
Central to our work is the belief that power relations need to change to enable poor people to demand and claim their rights. We work with a wide variety of development partners and allies, such as community organizations and civil society groups at the local, state, and national levels to achieve our goal.
EVALUATION AND DRAFTING OF OXFAM IN NIGERIA’S COUNTRY STRATEGY (OCS) AND COUNTRY OPERATIONAL MODEL (COM) 2021 - 2030
Oxfam in Nigeria is seeking the services of a qualified consultant (or consultancy team) to conduct a comprehensive evaluation and redrafting of its Country Strategy (OCS) and Country Operational Model (COM) for the period 2021–2025. This exercise is part of a broader effort to ensure that Oxfam’s strategic direction and operational approach remain relevant, effective, and aligned with both its global vision and the evolving Nigerian context. As part of this process, the consultant will also carry out a sector analysis within the framework of the project “Support to Improving Social Cohesion through Community Development Planning in 3 LGAs in North-East Nigeria.” The sector analysis aims to identify systemic barriers and enabling factors that influence the effective delivery of services to vulnerable populations in the target communities. Findings from this analysis will inform the participatory revision of the OCS and COM, shaping a more responsive and results-driven framework to guide Oxfam’s work in Nigeria through 2030. For the scope of work and application process, kindly download the Terms of Reference.
The deadline for submitting proposals is July 31, 2025, at 23:59 (WAT), subject to the conditions outlined in the Terms of Reference and Evaluation Criteria.
Oxfam does not bind itself to award the proposal to the lowest offer and reserves the right to accept the whole or part of the proposal.
We look forward to receiving a proposal from you, and thank you for your interest in our account.
Performing Arts/Entertainment Consultant
Oxfam in Nigeria is seeking the services of a qualified entertainment consultant or creative team to deliver a series of impactful performances at the upcoming “Government Stakeholders and Youth Engagement on Inequality in Nigeria” event. This engagement is part of Oxfam’s broader communications and advocacy strategy under the Fair4All Project, which aims to foster inclusive dialogue between government actors and young people, while amplifying voices calling for a more just and equitable society.
The selected consultant will be responsible for delivering high-quality performances across dance, drama, poetry, music, and DJ services. Each act should creatively reflect themes of inequality, resilience, and social justice, while engaging a diverse audience. Deliverables will include choreographed dance, a dramatic skit, spoken word poetry, musical interludes, and DJ coverage throughout the event. These performances will help Oxfam spark reflection, inspire action, and visually communicate the urgency of addressing inequality in Nigeria.
