The core values of Oxfam are transparency, inclusiveness, and accountability. Consequently, we are committed to being open about our work and to being accountable to the communities we work with, our partner organizations, relevant government agencies and to our donors and supporters. Moreover, all our work is regularly audited (including the work we do together with partner organizations).
Oxfam in Nigeria’s 2016-2020 budget is about EUR 60m with less than 6% of this amount being unrestricted fund and is contributed by the different Oxfam affiliates (ONL and OGB). Over time, Oxfam in Nigeria has shown a considerable increase of restricted income. Our current contracted donor portfolio is over EUR 60 million. About EUR 36 million are secured until FY 2019, and EUR 24 million have a shorter contract period. In our pipeline is currently about EUR 30 million and our overall funding ambition for 2016 – 2020 period is EUR 100 million.
In 2016-2020, Oxfam in Nigeria will spend about 15% of the budget on program management costs, while about same percentage will be granted to partner organizations noting that Oxfam’s financial year runs from 1 April – 31 March.
